About the Opportunity
Indicium AI is hiring a Director to lead its Enterprise AI Engineering and SDLC practice in Latin America, part of the LATAM AI Center of Excellence. You will own how Indicium’s enterprise clients move software delivery onto an agentic SDLC built on Claude Code: the engineering operating model, the architectural standards that hold across a portfolio of teams and business units, and the technical bar on every engagement from SOW review to delivered architecture.
The role is written for an enterprise engineering leader who still builds. Client CTOs and heads of engineering will expect you to talk about portfolio risk, regulatory exposure and the cost of their legacy estate. Their engineers will expect you to open a terminal on their codebase, set up Claude Code with the right specs, hooks and subagents, and show why that configuration produces better output than the one they tried last month. You need credibility in both rooms.
Key Responsibilities
• Define the agentic SDLC Indicium delivers: spec-driven development, Claude Code configuration at enterprise scale, review and verification gates, and the path agent-written code takes to production.
• Set the technical bar on engagements, from reviewing the SOW before signature to owning the engagement architecture once delivery starts.
• Advise client CTOs and engineering leadership on adopting agentic development across a portfolio: where to start, which systems to leave alone for now, how to measure lead time and quality, and what governance their auditors and regulators will ask for.
• Stay hands-on. Expect to pair with client engineers, build reference implementations, and debug a failing agent workflow yourself when a team is stuck.
• Turn what works into reusable assets: playbooks, reference implementations, and the golden patterns AI Architects apply across engagements.
• Partner with Indicium Sales and with Anthropic’s field teams on enterprise accounts, covering technical pre-sales, scoping and executive briefings.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
• 10+ years in software engineering, with several of them leading multi-team engineering organizations inside large enterprises or at a consultancy serving them.
• A record of changing how an enterprise engineering organization delivers software (a platform adoption, a DevOps or cloud transformation) while working around legacy systems and compliance constraints.
• Experience designing or governing large distributed systems on AWS, Azure or GCP, including the security and data-residency requirements that come with regulated industries.
• Executive presence with technology leadership: you can explain the architectural and compliance consequences of agentic development to a CTO and a CISO in the same meeting, then defend the delivery plan with their engineering managers.
Current, hands-on practice with Claude and the agentic SDLC
• Regular use of Claude Code, or a comparable coding agent, on production codebases. Be ready to walk through configurations, workflows or repositories you built.
• Working knowledge of what makes agents reliable on enterprise code: context engineering, spec-driven development, hooks and permission models, evals and verification, and MCP integrations.
• Familiarity with the Claude API or Agent SDK, and with running Claude through enterprise channels such as Amazon Bedrock.
• A grounded view of where agentic development breaks today, such as non-determinism, review bottlenecks and tool-access security, and how you have handled it in practice.
Nice to haves
• Experience in Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare or Manufacturing.
• Experience building or running a consulting practice, including pricing, utilization and partner relationships.
• Public work on agentic development: talks, open-source contributions or writing.
