JOB PURPOSE:

As Product Development Coordinator you will support the successful development and review of OPITO products in line with the department’s agreed business deliverables and ensure the successful delivery of OPITO programmes such as OPITO Open Learning and Skills Screening programmes.

Role Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Manage the update of existing material and content of the Product Development tools as required.
  • Provide proof-read support for Product Development Managers.
  • Ensure content remains fresh and current and work with partners/suppliers to develop new content in desired language as required.
  • Maintain the upkeep of customer databases and use this tool to identify trends in product usage.
  • Finance related activities to support the Products team including raising purchase orders and tracking through to completion and billing.
  • Assist customers to identify and select appropriate products, upselling where applicable or developing tailored question banks.
  • Collate and analyse data.
  • Support the development, review and revision of OPITO products with Product Development Managers including preparing materials for further discussion.
  • Ensure that information in internal databases for OPITO products is accurate and regularly maintained.
  • Any other duties, as required, to provide support to the Product Development function.
  • Collate and complete initial acknowledgement of all product feedback forms and forward to relevant Product Development Manager to progress.
  • Support product formal reviews including collation of product feedback based on scheduled reviews and industry work groups
  • Research and analysis to support the product development and product marketing strategy including identifying future industry project startups and information.
  • Act as the regional focal point for Product updates for bodies such as City and Guilds and Cirrus
  • General product enquiries – develop and maintain documentation of new and recurring product enquires
  • Support with process mapping as required by the team and business
  • Complete events management for Product Development including identifying opportunities, scheduling, arranging transport and accommodation when required and updating corporate records.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Essential vs Desirable

Knowledge

  • An understanding of training and competence within the energy industry would be advantageous.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Knowledge and experience of databases, CRM systems, electronic data management, MS Teams and Share

Point

  • Knowledge of OPITO Product range including Industry Standards, OPITO qualifications, Open Learning and Skill Screening programmes.
  • Experience of working with auditing processes and procedures (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Experience supporting regional localisation, adaptation, or implementation of products, content or processes to meet local industry, regulatory or language requirements

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong organisational, time management and project planning skills.
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to gather, analyse, interpret and report on statistical data relating to the performance of products.
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Experience of working with skills competency platforms an advantage.
  • Ability to interact with suppliers, business stakeholders and customers.

Essential

  • Professional working proficiency in English (essential).
  • Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese (spoken and written) is essential to support regional product activity.

Desirable

  • Experience contributing to the localisation, adaptation, translation, or implementation of learning content, products or processes for LATAM markets is desirable.
  • Spanish language skills are desirable.
  • Academic qualification in related subject desirable

General:

Main functions may include some or all of the following:

  • This is a flexible working role (a combination of home and office-based working)
  • The expectation would be that the post holder would work from the Rio office on a hybrid basis and other Regional offices when required.
  • Occasional local and international travel when required.
  • General business support duties
  • Undertakes special projects and fulfils other duties as may be required by the company, in line with the incumbent’s skills, knowledge, abilities and personal development opportunities
