## Descrição

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role has a strong focus on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and cloud-native operations. You will work closely with engineering and application teams to build reliable deployment environments, improve infrastructure automation, strengthen operational resilience, and ensure cloud platforms are secure, observable, and production-ready.

The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on GCP expertise with a solid understanding of Kubernetes, serverless architectures, automation, networking, security, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and operate production-grade Kubernetes environments using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Manage cluster scalability, resource allocation, workload scheduling, availability, and performance.

Deploy and operate scalable applications and microservices using Cloud Run, optimizing configurations for concurrency, resource utilization, performance, and startup latency.

Build and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.

Manage core GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and related cloud infrastructure components.

Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, least-privilege access, service accounts, VPC controls, secrets management, and encryption.

Design and maintain networking components such as VPCs, Shared VPCs, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing, VPC Peering, and firewall rules.

Monitor infrastructure health, application performance, latency, availability, and resource utilization using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.

Build proactive monitoring and alerting strategies and troubleshoot complex issues across distributed cloud environments.

Partner with software engineering teams to define deployment strategies, cloud architecture standards, and infrastructure requirements for applications.

Contribute to high-availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, deployment procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, automation, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related infrastructure-focused role.

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and operating production workloads in cloud environments.

Proven experience deploying, configuring, scaling, and troubleshooting Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments.

Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads with Cloud Run.

Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi.

Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

Strong understanding of cloud-native and microservices architectures.

Solid knowledge of GCP networking concepts and services, including VPCs, Shared VPCs, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing, VPC Peering, and firewall configuration.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, service accounts, secrets management, encryption, and least-privilege access controls.

Experience with observability and monitoring using Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or comparable tooling.

Ability to automate operational tasks using at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, Bash, or Node.js.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose infrastructure, networking, deployment, and performance issues in complex distributed environments.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across infrastructure, platform, and application engineering teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.

Experience with service mesh technologies and container-native networking.

Experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery architectures on GCP.

Experience supporting large-scale or enterprise production environments.

Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and resource governance practices.
